Getting To Work

The Daybreak Star staff are all in this build.  Including hanging the ceiling and vacuuming the floors.  Harris and Sherry, our Program Director and Station Manager, hung the sound deadening ceiling tiles.  This was quite a task as the amount of fiberglass filtering off the panels was more than expected. 

Harris had the honor of putting on a tool belt for the first time in 15 years.  Needless to say, he had no idea that at night, when he laid his head on his pillow, that he would be rubbing his knuckles so hard, praying for the itchiness to go away.  It got so bad, that at 2:52 AM he seriously considered contacting the consulting nurse. 

Luckily, he found some lotion, from Paris, France – of all places – that soothed his skin long enough to get some rest.  His recommendation for others is to 1: graduate from YouTube ceiling tile school in advance of install and 2: to wear the gloves that astronauts wear while installing. He is free anytime to answer questions about fiberglass ceiling tiles and what not to do.
