Join Red, pika alemwa, representing the Peoria Tribe of Indians of Oklahoma, for an hour of new music.  Each Monday at 10 AM PST and Saturday at 3 PM PST, Red brings you music that has been submitted to Daybreak Star Radio and that has been released by artists in the last day to several months.  Sometimes Red throws in a song or two from artists she thinks the people need to hear more from.  Artists from all across Turtle Island submit music representing hundreds of Tribes.  Music played will be a mix of rock, blues, EDM, country, indie rock, folk, and more.  Just whatever is new! The War Cry Podcast Team is 4 Native women. The podcast is created, hosted and produced by an all Indigenous team and based on Yakama Nation homelands. Each episode is 1 - 1.5 hours in length

Rock & Roll R&B Blues

Osiyo! My name is Markus Dekanogisdi Teuton. I am a citizen of the Cherokee Nation and member of Echota-Tanasi Ceremonial Ground in Park Hill, Oklahoma. I am currently a student majoring in Jazz Studies and History at the University of Washington. Outside of school, I am actively involved in the Seattle music scene playing a wide variety of genres such as Jazz, Funk, Soul, and Rock. I can be seen playing at local Jazz clubs or composing, producing, and performing with the group, Joint Souls. On the Daybreak Star Radio, I will soon be hosting a show known as Indigenous Jazz. It will feature a wide variety of recent and classic recordings from Indigenous Jazz artists. Through my music and work at the Daybreak Star Radio Network, I actively practice “Gadugi”, the Cherokee word for working together for the benefit of all. By practicing “Gadugi”, artists and communities can both grow and benefit as a whole. Stay tuned for Indigenous Jazz! Wado!

RONN!E, the Blue Eyed Native is a Two-Spirit artist and designer from the (Sƛ̕púlmx) Cowlitz Tribe of Washington. As the editor of SciFiMonkeys.com, they have had their finger on the pulse of the entertainment world for almost a decade. They now plan to bring that same kind of content and much more, only Native and Indigenous-focused to Daybreak Star.  “The success of one native is a success for all natives” -RONN!E
