Indigenous Pink Day promoting breast health for Native Peoples

Breast cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death for Native women.

Daybreak Star Radio and the Washington State Department of Health are sharing the story of Breast Cancer survivor Rosalinda Fivekiller-Turk to support our People in receiving proper medical care. We truly value the opportunity for Rosalinda to share with our broader Native community about breast cancer awareness and prevention.

How can you support the people in your life to receive preventative care or support during treatments? Offer to watch the kids for a couple of hours, offer to be a ride to and from treatments or surgeries, make a lunch or dinner and deliver it, send a text on treatment day showing support, drop off some medicine and sing together, have your kids make and send cards/art, and so much more.
