Aiyana Irwin / Production Assistan

Aiyana hosts the Daybreak Star Book Club and is a writer and filmmaker in the Seattle area. Having gone to school for film, theatre, and English, Aiyana is familiar with multiple types of storytelling. They are part of the Oneida Nation and are currently trying to learn their native language and begin incorporating that knowledge into their own life.

Aiyana has spent the last few years writing YA fantasy novels, and their first full-length novel Trial by Sand is currently available on amazon. Having written several YA fantasy novels they are now exploring a new medium of storytelling, radio. Being able to interact with a wide range of Indigenous artists is an exciting and a wonderful new experience. Aiyana loves all forms of art and media and is excited to help spread indigenous music across the airwaves.
